Add illustrations to a site your coding agent builds.
Coding agents build working pages but leave the pictures out, or reach for the stock 3D art and icon grids every AI-built site has. Give the agent illustrations it can add itself instead: 65 free animated SVG illustrations it installs with one command, in four themes, so every page matches. For new ones in the same style, the Illos skills teach Claude Code, Codex and Cursor a theme's rules and check what they draw.
Why agent-built pages come out without pictures
A model can write an SVG, but a set that matches is a different job. Every request starts from zero, so the hero and the pricing page come out in two styles, and next week's page in a third.
With nothing to work from, agents leave the space empty, drop in an emoji or a gradient blob, or use the same 3D figures as everyone else. That is a large part of why vibe-coded websites look the same.
What to ask your agent
Name the place on the page and the theme, and point the agent at the list. illos.dev/llms.txt lists every illustration with what it shows, so the agent can pick one by meaning and add it:
Find a free Illos illustration for our empty notifications screen in https://illos.dev/llms.txt and add it. Use Illos Isometric illustrations for the feature sections on the home page. Add the free ones with their install command. Our site uses the Illos Shader theme. Keep every new illustration in that theme.
Add one with a single command
In a React project, each free illustration installs as a component, with no account:
npx shadcn@latest add https://illos.dev/r/interface/notification-inbox.json
The last two parts of the address are the theme and the illustration, the same as on its page. In any other project, the agent can copy the SVG from the illustration's page or download the file. Every one comes in light and dark, with its animation inside the file.
Which illustration goes where
| Place on the site | What fits | Theme to try |
|---|---|---|
| Hero | One large illustration of what the product does | Any, as a section size (Pro) |
| Feature sections | One spot illustration per feature, same theme | Isometric, Shader |
| Empty states in the app | The screen that will fill in, such as an inbox or a task board | Interface |
| Docs and guides | The idea behind a page: a queue, a cache, a webhook | Isometric, Shader |
| Status and monitoring pages | Live systems: traffic, alerts, server health | HUD |
Four free ones, one from each theme:

Keep every page in one style
Pick one theme and write it down where the agent reads it on every task: AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md or a Cursor rule. A few lines are enough:
## Illustrations - Use Illos Isometric for every illustration: https://illos.dev/library/isometric - Add free ones with: npx shadcn@latest add https://illos.dev/r/isometric/<name>.json - No stock 3D art, emoji or gradient blobs where an illustration belongs.
When the library doesn't have the one you need
The Illos skills teach your agent a theme's geometry, line weights, colour and motion, and check each illustration before it lands in your project. One command adds them to every coding agent on your machine:
npx -y illos setup
Then ask in plain words, such as "draw an Isometric section for our webhooks page". The skills come with Pro, $89, one payment. See the skills.
Questions
Anything else? Write to hello@illos.dev.
Can Claude Code draw illustrations?
It can write SVG, but each one starts from zero, so a set rarely matches. Give it ready illustrations in one theme, or a skill with the theme's rules and a check for each new one.
How do I get my coding agent to keep one illustration style?
Name one theme in AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md or a rule, and point the agent at that theme's illustrations. The Illos skills add the rules and check every new illustration against them.
Does this work in Codex and Cursor?
Yes. The free illustrations install with one command in any React project, or as SVG files anywhere. The skills are SKILL.md folders, which Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents read.
Can I use the free illustrations on a commercial site?
Yes. The 65 free illustrations work on commercial sites and client work, with no account and no credit.
