You can sign in with an email link, or with GitHub or Google. Signing in sets a session cookie so you stay signed in, and the session keeps the IP address and browser it was opened from. If you sign in with GitHub or Google, we also keep the name and profile picture they share.
We store your email address and your license record, including a hash of the license key, in Postgres on Neon. The record also lists the machines the toolkit is set up on, by a random ID the toolkit makes, and the files you download. Sign-in mail is sent by Resend. The message contains the link and nothing else about you.
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments. Your card details go to them, never to us. We keep the payment ID and the email you paid with, so the purchase reaches your license.
If you leave your email on the request form, we use it only to tell you when that illustration ships.
On illos.dev, the site sends page views and a few outcome events to Tracwell. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device: the ids that tie one visit's events together last only as long as that visit. If you buy, the payment is matched to the visit that led to it, so we know which link brought you. It sends nothing from any other host. Do Not Track is respected. We run no ads.
To ask for your account and license record to be deleted, email hello@illos.dev.
